For the final episode of the year, you’d think there wouldn’t be much news… But, you’d be mistaken! A whole lot has happened, as we look, among other goings-on, EA cutting Take Two’s grass, CD Projekt continuing their greeeaaaat run, Nintendo’s latest indie showcase, and a new Neo Geo on the way!
Despite having very little news, the boys still manage to have a bunch to talk about! Between the difficulty of buying stuff online, Take-Two’s new buy, record sales figures, and the lack of people buying Marvel’s Avengers, money, it turns out, talks! Well, money doesn’t, but the stuff around money helps us to talk!
A shorter episode this week, but still plenty a-hapennin’! The boys look at the impending console launches (and their relative ‘worth’), a new game getting RC’d, Activision making BANK, and that Mass Effect collection is FINALLY confirmed and announced!
Cyberpunk has been delayed again, among other delays, which leaves Graham and Steve to investigate the dastardly Womack’s role in the games business. There’s also some talk about The Last of Us Part 2, Gears Pop getting popped, EA getting fined, being a lady basketball player, and plenty more!
Graham has finally started The Last of Us Part 2, so tune in to hear the boys barely talk about it! They do, however, talk about skating, the new console UXs (as well as what a UX is), some retail happenings with the old GameStop, Sega’s birthday, Miles Morales’ feline friend, and more detailed PC requirements!
Another week of holidays for Steve means a lot of games played, but there’s also plenty of news this week too! A massive PS5 drop, Bugsnax, Crucible’s death, a whole bunch of layoffs, and the Need.. For Speed… remaster that was announced!
Steve’s on holidays, and Graham’s a cowboy again this week on the SIPTG podcast. Also this week: the WWE is terrible (surprise!), Yves is trying to fix Ubisoft, hockey is back, and a new Spider-Man controversy is here to rival Puddle-Gate: Holland-Gate!
Things are all topsy-turvy this week, as Graham takes over hosting duties and professionalism (kind of) ensues. The big ticket, $7.5b acquisition of Bethesda is obviously looked over, but so is Ubisoft’s continued errors, Blizzard 2.0, Amazon’s streaming service the (new) Spider-Man fiasco, and what’s still to come in 2020!
After a week off, the boys are back in the house with chit-chat about everything they’ve played, a whole bunch of news, and incredibly accurate and well-informed predictions for Ubisoft Forward! Steve learns a new idiom, Graham did some dabblin’, Amazon unreleased a game, Atari is still releasing the VCS (for some weird reason…), and Sony be makin’ moves! All this, and much, much more! Join us as we fall into a #ChineseGameForPeace, comrade!
